Market release and availability
The Silver Ghost saw a limited initial release in December 2023 to select gun shops, with plans for increased production and broader distribution through 2024. This strategic rollout aims to meet the anticipated demand and allows BRK to gauge initial market reactions before a full-scale launch.
Daystate’s Tony Belas told Gun Trade Insider: “The development of the rifle started almost the day after the Daystate Delta Wolf was finished, with the decision made at an early stage to sell this rifle at a competitive price and under the Brocock label. The intention initially was to piggyback the million-pound machine used for the Delta Wolf main block to add value to this investment, but the immediate success of the Ghost’s launch back in the dying days of 2022 meant significant further investment needed to be made if we were going to continue to get both models simultaneously to market without component delays, so a second machine was purchased. This investment ensures the BRK Ghost as a mainstream product that will remain in gun shops for some time to come.
“This level of engineering is beyond what is normally available to a humble airgun company, and certainly would have been a pipe-dream for Daystate or BRK a few years ago,” continues Tony. “Brocock also took the opportunity to rebrand to BRK at the same time, which turned out the perfect time as the BRK name is now synonymous with the Ghost.”
This introduction of the Silver Ghost strengthens BRK’s commitment to the Ghost project and reflects the continuing move of the 55+ generation towards ‘casual target shooting’ where a bolder statement than the traditional black rifle and more customisation takes place. It allows for more choice within a recognised brand and model, and the continual shift towards more dynamic colours has certainly paid off for the company where it counts: in shop sales.
