London-based gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has announced the appointment of Daniel Rivers as its newest gunmaker. Bringing nearly seven years of experience and a deep passion for craftsmanship, Rivers joins the team.
Originally from South East London, Rivers developed his skills in design and furniture making before transitioning to gunmaking, bringing a unique perspective to the craft. His approach, focused on craftsmanship, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail, led him to pursue a career in this prestigious field.
Rivers expressed his excitement about joining Rigby. “What particularly attracted me to Rigby was not just their exceptional guns but also the enthusiasm and pride of the team,” he said. “Everyone is incredibly dedicated and passionate about their work, creating a positive environment. The company has a younger crowd, which brings a lot of energy, and it’s motivating to be a part of it.”
In his new role, Rivers will primarily focus on finishing work while also gaining further experience in regulation and actioning. This role is designed to expand his understanding of the entire gunmaking process and to develop a comprehensive skill set.
