James Purdey & Sons has officially reopened its fully reworked shooting grounds at the Royal Berkshire, following a major redevelopment project.
“It’s a really special launch for Purdey that builds on our foundations and heritage to offer the best game and clay shooting experiences in the world,” said Dan Jago, Purdey chief executive officer and chairman.
The reimagined venue features new shooting stands set across valley and woodland terrain, including the highest clay tower in the UK. Visitors can also benefit from real-time shot analysis using video feedback and instructor expertise, while enjoying upgraded hospitality in the newly designed lodge, with interiors curated by designer Giles Deacon.
The facility is designed to cater for a range of occasions, from corporate and charity events to private shooting days or pre-season practice ahead of game shooting trips.
Purdey’s team said it looks forward to welcoming guests to experience the new grounds, which combine the brand’s traditional heritage with modern amenities to deliver a first-class shooting destination.
