Viking Arms, the Yorkshire-based distributor, has announced the addition of two precision rifle shooters, Adam Farwell and Steven Shorter, to its team of brand ambassadors.
This announcement is poised to positively impact UK retailers that stock Viking Arms products such as Defiance Machine rifles, Leupold optics and MDT accessories by enhancing credibility and
increasing visibility.
Adam Farwell, a Leupold-sponsored UK precision rifle shooter, joins the Viking Field Team with a remarkable history in shooting. His journey began at just six years old with an air rifle and over the years he progressed to shotgun shooting, acquiring his Firearms Certificate and excelling in long-range target shooting and competitive matches. Farwell has become a prominent figure in both centrefire and rimfire shooting circuits. His dedication and skill earned him a spot on the British Open Team for the 2024 Centre Fire World Cup in Colorado, US. Notably, he placed 7th in the factory division and 26th overall at the World Championships in the PRS .22 circuit.
Steven Shorter, a dedicated precision rifle shooter, also joins the Viking Arms Field Team. Hailing from Tenby and working as a contracts manager in Carmarthen, Wales, Shorter balances his professional life with his passion for shooting. Despite being relatively new to the sport with just five years of experience, Shorter’s rapid progress and dedication are evident. He has been selected to represent Great Britain at the IPRF Centrefire World Championships in Colorado this September and also serves as the membership secretary for the Great Britain Precision Rifle Association.
The endorsement by well-respected and successful precision rifle shooters enhances the credibility and appeal of Viking Arms products. Retailers can leverage the expertise and achievements of Farwell and Shorter to promote their Viking products, which may attract more customers who are fans of these shooters or who seek high-quality, performance-tested equipment.
Having prominent figures like Farwell and Shorter associated with Viking Arms can generate increased interest and awareness in the brand. This heightened visibility is likely to drive foot traffic to stores and boost online engagement, benefiting retailers with increased sales opportunities.
Viking Arms’ commitment to supporting these ambassadors suggests a strong marketing and promotional strategy. Retailers can expect enhanced marketing materials, social media campaigns and possibly in-store events featuring the ambassadors. These initiatives can create a buzz around the products, provide exciting promotional opportunities and offer a fresh way to engage with customers.
The ambassadors’ active presence on social media platforms will also serve as a continual source of promotion. As Farwell and Shorter share their experiences and successes with Viking Arms products, they are likely to influence their followers and fellow enthusiasts, driving further interest and demand. Retailers can capitalise on this by highlighting these endorsements in their own marketing efforts.
