Distributor SGC imports the ATA’s first ever bolt-action rifle from groundbreaking gunmaker ATA Arms
The ATA Arms Turqua is now available to UK dealers through Exeter-based distributor SGC, representing a superb opportunity for retailers eager to provide their customers not only with a high-quality firearm but also with an engaging story behind the product. As Turkey’s first bolt-action rifle, distinguished by its advanced features like a three-stage safety and a two-stage adjustable trigger, the Turqua offers compelling selling points for a market keen on innovation
and craftsmanship.
The Turqua rifle distinguishes itself with a 60-degree bolt lift—shorter than the typical 90-degree bolt throw—enabling quicker loading for follow-up shots. Its two-stage adjustable trigger allows precise control with a pull weight ranging from 0.8kg to 1.6kg (1.76lbs to 3.52lbs), enhancing
shooting accuracy.
Designed for performance, the Turqua features a free-floating barrel that maintains consistent barrel-to-stock spacing for reliable accuracy. This button-rifled barrel is guaranteed to achieve SUB-MOA accuracy over three shots.
The rifle’s stock is adjustable, promoting a comfortable and accurate shooting experience by facilitating easier target aiming.
The ATA Turqua rifle is equipped with an array of key features designed to enhance both performance and safety. It includes a sophisticated three-stage safety system that provides operational security. This system allows the user to fire the rifle, lock the trigger for safe loading and unloading, or fully lock the trigger to prevent accidental discharge.
For ammunition, the Turqua offers flexibility with its detachable, single-row polymer magazine, available in either a three or five-round capacity. This feature allows for quick magazine changes and versatility in different shooting scenarios.
Each rifle has an ergonomic stock made of selected Turkish walnut, oil-finished laminated wood or a durable, adjustable synthetic, all designed for accurate and comfortable shooting.
The rifle’s durability and strength are bolstered by a monoblock recoil lug located within the receiver. This design element enhances the structural integrity of the rifle, ensuring it withstands the demands of repeated use.
Shooters have the option to choose from several calibres: .308 Winchester, .243 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. This selection caters to various preferences and shooting disciplines.
The Turqua is built with a 20-inch or 24-inch free-floating barrel, made from chrome-moly steel with a matte blued finish and an 11-degree crown, which helps in preserving the barrel’s accuracy. The receiver, crafted from monoblock steel with an integrated recoil lug, is engineered for longevity and reliability.
Additionally, the rifle is outfitted with a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail made of steel. This sturdy rail provides a reliable mounting platform for a wide array of optics, enhancing the rifle’s versatility and making it suitable for various shooting environments.
ATA Arms’ Turqua is a versatile and powerful choice for retailers looking to stock a high-performance bolt-action rifle with cutting-edge features, representing exceptional value within the UK market.
Gary Lamburn, managing director, SGC Group commented: “I would like to give ATA a massive amount of credit for the Turqua, they have built a great range of rifles and since SGC launched them at this year’s British Shooting Show we have been extremely impressed with every aspect of the guns. They are built to a high standard and boast extraordinary accuracy.
“As the first rifles ATA have produced, the Turqua range offers exceptional performance, with pricing that dealers and end users can really buy into.”
Aiming higher
Also available from the SGC, Element Optics has introduced a new rangefinder collection to provide accuracy regardless of your customer’s conditions.
The Rangefinder Module, Helix 150 and Titan 3K present their users with an accurate firing solution out to 1,000, 1,500 and 3,000 meters respectively, harnessing the full power of the integrated Ballistics Chip to factor in weather conditions, incline, spin drift and more. The Element Ballistic Chip that is integrated into all three rangefinders instantly uploads data onto the easy-to-use Element Ballistics app making adjusting quick and simple. Simply send your profile over from the app and a tap of the remote switch activates the rangefinders giving the user all the statistics they need to make the shot.
RF Module
The RF Module will take the HYPR-7 to a whole new level, but can also be used with any traditional rifle and scope to provide instant firing solutions. The Element Ballistic chip integrated inside the module can send real-time data and allow the user to store ballistic profiles on the device. The saving of information on the chip drastically reduces the time between spotting a target and engaging a target, meaning there’s no need to change the position held behind the rifle.
Titan3K
The Titan 3K comes in a horizontal configuration, as it creates more space for the bigger view-finding optical system 7 x 26, it comes with a bigger laser lens helping it to perform better at longer ranges as well as space for a large 18650 battery for increased capacity and longer run time. The user-friendly integrated Element Ballistic Chip allows for instant data uploading via the profiles elected on the Element Ballistics smartphone app.
Helix 1500
The Helix 1500 is small and light and comes packed with features. The idea is that if you’re a hunter you need something compact to carry on your hip or in your pocket and something that doesn’t weigh you down. Enter the 150g rangefinder integrated with the Element Ballistic chip, capable of factoring in the weather, wind, spin drift and the angle you’re shooting to give you a very accurate firing solution via real-time data from the Element Ballistics app.
