Edgar Brothers has announced the passing of its financial controller, Jonathan Bradley, who served the company for almost 10 years.
In a statement, the company paid tribute to Bradley’s contribution, describing him as a dedicated professional whose diligence and sound judgement made him an integral part of the business throughout his tenure.
Bradley oversaw the company’s finances during almost a decade with Edgar Brothers, with the company praising his professionalism and the important role he played within the organisation.
Colleagues also remembered Bradley for his dry sense of humour and willingness to support those around him. Edgar Brothers said he was always ready to offer advice or assistance, regardless of how busy he was, and was respected and valued by everyone who knew him.
Away from work, Bradley was a keen follower of horse racing, a passion that frequently provided the basis for conversation and camaraderie among colleagues and industry contacts.
The company noted that many customers, suppliers and business partners had worked closely with Bradley over the years and would share in the sense of loss felt throughout the business.
Edgar Brothers said: “Jonathan leaves behind a lasting legacy within Edgar Brothers and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.”
The Gun Trade Association chief executive Stephen Jolly also paid tribute on behalf of the association.
Jolly said: “I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jonathan Bradley.
“On behalf of everyone at The Gun Trade Association, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to you, your colleagues, and Jonathan’s family at this difficult time.
“On reading your announcement, it is immediately clear that Jonathan was a respected part of the Edgar Brothers team, who served your organisation with great dedication and integrity.
“The loss of a long-standing colleague is felt deeply throughout an organisation. We recognise that Jonathan’s passing will leave a significant void, both professionally and personally, among those who worked alongside him. Our thoughts are with all members of your team as you come to terms with this loss.”
